The Spanish River Boys Lacrosse program recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. The team competes in Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District 26.
The Spanish River Boys Lacrosse program is lead by Head Coach, Jon Trama. Coach Trama played college lacrosse at Briarcliffe College for three years. He was an Academic All-American and named to the Second Team All-Conference Attack his senior year. Coach Trama is known for developing player skills and game IQ.
Spanish River Community High School is a public, coeducational high school in Boca Raton, Florida. It is part of the School District of Palm Beach County and serves the cities of Boca Raton and Delray Beach.
Founded in 1983, Spanish River is a comprehensive high school that offers numerous Advanced (AP) courses. The school has four specialized academies: American History and Law, Biotechnology, Early Childhood, and Entrepreneurship.
The high school earned the highest rating of “A” based on student performance on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). The student population is approximately 2,395. Nationally, Spanish River ranks in the top 10% of public high schools and has captured more than 11 state championships, 100 regional championships, and a Directors’ Cup award.
