Simply180, a Boca Raton-based marketing and technology agency, agreed to become sponsor the Spanish River High School Boy’s Lacrosse team. As part of its commitment, Simply180 will provide website design and marketing services to the team through 2017.
“We are very excited to enter into this partnership with the River Boys’ Lacrosse Program,” said Jason Cohen, CEO of Simply180. “This relationship is an ongoing effort to provide the necessary resources to support student athletes at Spanish River High School.”
In addition to financial and in-kind contributions, Simply180 established an internship program for members of the boy’s lacrosse team to learn basic website design, programming and content management skills. Participating team members will also get to edit video game footage, write and publish articles, and keep the website updated throughout the season.
The Spanish River Boys Lacrosse program recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary and expects to have more than 50 high school varsity and junior varsity student-athletes play in the 2016-2017 season. The team competes in Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District 26.
The Spanish River Boys Lacrosse program is lead by Head Coach, Dan Schaffer. Coach Schaffer was previously an assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale), which won the 2016 Florida State Championship. Schaffer was a Division I All-American at The University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
